Manufacturing Process

All our handicraft products are handmade. Our artisans powder, sieve and knead the black clay with rice husk. They make a composite mold by applying the layers of soil and dry it in the Sun. After this, the narrow strands of bees wax are released through a PICHKI. First, the clay mold is coated and then wrapped with wax strands. We use thin & thick strands to create embellishments. Our artisans use wooden spatula to flatten these strands. They cover the mold with a layer of charcoal, sawdust and clay. Once this layer is dried, the mold is coated again. The final layer is coated with rice husk and DENGUR clay. Subsequently, the mold is baked at the right temperature, which melts the wax and makes a good space between the layers. After this process, our artisans melt the metal and pore it into this space. This melted metal takes the designs of the clay mold. Once we get the design, we allow the mold to cool for few hours. Later, this mold is broken and finished product is polished.
